Here is a more detailed list of questions/answers.
Currently, I'm updating every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I'm generally very faithful to the schedule under normal circumstances. However, I may change the schedule at anytime to suit my tastes and time. But it wouldn't be on a whim, and I would probably give proper notice if that happens. I may or may not update on certain big holidays.
First, I draw everything using pencil and paper on regular 8.5" x 11" printing paper. Afterwards, I slightly trace over the drawing with pencil (I don't ink). Then I scan it into the computer at 300 dpi. Finally, I use the "computarz magix hax" to make the comic!
I use the old-school pencil and eraser. However, I prefer mechanical pencils and "Clic erasers" (erasers that you hold like a pencil) to the stereotypical yellow pencil, and red rubber eraser. Mechanical pencils are very easy to maintain and use, while those "Clic erasers" are great for reaching corners (and they generally erase very cleanly too). However, I do occasionally use plastic erasers (especially the Staedtler Brand), since as they are very durable and erase VERY cleanly.
I also use a ruler for some perspective stuff. And as for paper, I use regular 8" x 11" printing paper. I use a special semi-thick kind, so that they don't wear away from repeated erasings.
For lead (for my mechanical pencil), I use a special dark lead (2B and 4B), so that I can use the scanner to easily pick up the lines. However, they occasional smear if I'm not careful.
I've used all types of weird art tools such as kneaded erasers and french curves, but I've come to realize that they were generally useless (for me).
There are several reasons why I do everything in black and white (or "grayscale" to be more accurate) instead of color. First, most manga are done in black and white (mostly for the cheaper cost of mass printing them), so I decided to do the same as an aesthetic reason. Secondly, I can do certain artistic things in grayscale that would look awkward in color. Thirdly, it's less time consuming. That means more time for me, and more comic for you.
I learned to draw when I was a kid. Just from doodling things on paper, I knew the basic stuff such as perspective. Later on, I took an art class in high school, where I was taught the fundamentals on drawing. Afterwards, I did what any other person did to learn art. I practiced and practiced!
Nope.
Sorry, nope.
